Astari is a daily check-in and reflection app operated from Germany. For privacy or support requests, contact support@getastari.app.
What Astari Collects
Astari collects the information needed to make the app work:
- Your anonymous Supabase user ID, and your Apple account identifier if you choose to back up your reflections with Sign in with Apple.
- Your name and email address if Apple provides them during Sign in with Apple.
- Your onboarding choices, selected categories, timezone, reminder preferences, daily check-ins, answers, notes, reflections, and generated digests.
- Your subscription status if paid features are enabled through RevenueCat.
- Basic technical and security information needed to operate the backend, prevent abuse, and keep the service reliable.
How Astari Uses Information
Astari uses your information to provide the daily check-in flow, generate reflections, save and sync data when you choose account backup, send reminders, manage subscriptions, and operate the service reliably.
AI Processing
Astari uses AI to generate reflections from your check-ins and notes. For premium or trial digests, relevant reflection data may be sent to Anthropic to generate the digest. Free-tier local generation may happen on device when supported.
Astari does not sell your personal data, does not use your reflections for advertising, and does not track you across other apps or websites.
Service Providers
Astari uses service providers to operate the app, including Supabase for authentication, database, and backend functions; Anthropic for server-side AI digest generation; Apple for Sign in with Apple, notifications, and subscriptions; and RevenueCat for subscription management.
Anonymous Use and Account Backup
You can use Astari anonymously. In that case, your account is tied to the local app session. If you delete the app or lose your device before backing up with Sign in with Apple, your reflections may be lost.
If you choose account backup, Astari links your existing anonymous account to Sign in with Apple so your existing reflections remain connected to the same account.
Deletion and Retention
You can delete your account in Settings. Deleting your account removes the account and associated reflection data from Astari's backend systems, subject to limited retention required for security, legal, or operational purposes.
International Transfers
Astari and its service providers may process data outside Germany or the European Union. Where required, appropriate safeguards are used for international transfers.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, or object to certain processing. To make a request, contact support@getastari.app.
Changes
Astari may update this privacy policy as the app changes. The updated policy will show a new "Last updated" date.
